Lesson Policies & Terms

Enrollment & billing

Private lessons and pods are enrolled by semester and billed as packages with monthly autopay. Co-op and group classes are billed per student, per semester. Exact rates, dates, and terms are confirmed in writing with every enrollment.

Cancellations & make-ups

Lessons cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice are rescheduled at no charge. Lessons missed without notice may be forfeited. Teacher Penny extends the same courtesy: any lesson she must cancel is always made up or credited.

Weather & illness

When weather makes travel unsafe, lessons move online or to a make-up slot — they are never simply lost. If your child is ill, please cancel and we’ll reschedule; the same applies in reverse.

Trial lessons

The first trial lesson is free, with no obligation to enroll. Trials are offered once per family.

Materials

All learning materials are included in lesson packages and remain the intellectual property of Columbus Chinese Lessons. They may be freely used by enrolled families and may not be redistributed or resold.

Photos & showcases

No photos of students are taken or published without documented parental permission. Showcase events are family celebrations; recording your own child is always welcome.
